Kyle Cooper
Kyle Cooper is the new Athletic Director/Head Football Coach for the La Grange Leopards. He is a 1994 graduate of Wimberley High School. He played tight end at Angelo State from 1994-1998, and was a Graduate Assistant at ASU from 1999 – 2000. From there he went to coach the tight ends and assistant offensive line at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He then moved to Odessa Permian in 2003 as their Offensive Line Coach. In 2005, he became the Offensive Coordinator at Rockwall High School. In 2007 he became the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Gatesville ISD where he stayed 12 years before joining Art Briles staff at Mount Vernon for the 2019-2020 seasons. Cooper spent the last two years as the head football coach at Ponder. Coach Cooper is married to LG Coach Ginger Cooper. They have three children Clifton (Freshman @ Henderson State), Clayton (Junior), and Campbell (Freshman).
