Laney Herdler. a junior on the La Grange High School swim team, smashed the school record in the 500 Freestyle on December 16th in the El Campo Nava Invitational. She swam a 7:22. 64 breaking her own personal best time by 18.05 seconds and beating the old school record by 16.38 seconds. When swim races are often decided by 0.01 of a second this was an exceptional swim.
