The LHS Swim Team competed in the El Campo Nava Invitational Swim Meet on December 16th. The Lady Leps placed 5th in points out of the 19 teams at the meet. The LHS Men placed 6th overall. The combined team score was 327. Highlights from the meet include: Girls 200 Medley with Celeine Fabre, Bailey Fischer, Hope Michalke, and Eleanor Carey placed 5th with a time of 2:20.32. The second Medley Relay with Laney Herdler, Elena Supak, Madeline Willrich, and Quinlyn Landis placed 8th with a time of 2:32.53. The Boys 200 Medley Relay with Gavin Cook, Dalton Landis, Ben Swisher, and Chandler Fabre placed 5th with a time of 2:08.96. In the Girls 200 Free Madeline Willrich placed 11th swimming a 2:46.00. In the Boys 200 Free Dalton Landis placed 12th swimming a 2:52.16 and Braxton Landis placed 13th swimming a 2:56.07. In the Girls 200 IM Quinlyn Landis placed 7th swimming a 3:18.90. In the Girls 50 Free Eleanor swam a 29.72 placing 12th and Charlotte Griffin placed 34th swimming a 36.02. In the Boys 50 Freestyle Benjamin Swisher placed 2nd swimming a 24.65 and Sean Varnell swam a 32.84 placing 31st. In the 100 Yard Fly Hope Michalke placed 7th swimming a 1:30.04. In the Girls 100 Free Celeine Fabre placed 11th swimming a 1:06.13. Elena Supak placed 21st swimming a 1:14.84. Charlotte Griffin placed 34th with a time of 1:31.45. In the Boys 100 Yard Freestyle Gavin Cook placed 10th with a time of 1:01.79 and Sean Varnell placed 26th with a time of 1:20.32. Laney Herdler broke the school record in the 500 Free swimming a 7:22.64 placing 8th. In the Girls 200 Yard Free Relay Celeine Fabre, Madeline Willrich, Bailey Swisher, and Eleanor Carey placed 5th with a time of 2:01.67. In the second relay Hope Michalke, Laney Herdler, Elena Supak, and Quinlyn Landis placed 10th and swam a 2:16.30. In the Boys 200 Free Gavin, Dalton Landis, Chandler Fabre, and Ben Swisher. placed 4th swimming a 1:50.37. In the Girls 100 Backstroke Laney Herdler swam a 1:32.81 placing 9th. In the Girls 100 Breaststroke Bailey Swisher placed 6th swimming a 1:31.01 and Quinlyn Landis placed 14th swimming a 1:44.03. In Boys 100 Breaststroke Braxton Landis placed 12th swimming a 1:42.76. In the Girls 400 Free Relay Eleanor Carey, Madeline Willrich, Elena Supak, Celeine Fabre placed 2nd swimming a 4:45.00. In the Boys 400 Free Relay Gavin Cook, Braxton Landis , Dalton Landis, and Ben Swisher placed 5th swimming a 4:25.71.
