The La Grange High School Swim Team competed in their District swim meet on January 19th , 2024 in San Antonio at the NISD Natatorium. LHS placed third overall in team points. With both the girls and boys team points combined the swim team compiled 143 points total behind Davenport and Comal Canyon Lake. The top 8 finishes in each event earn points for the team. Teams competing at the district meet were: Davenport High School, La Grange High School, Wimberly High School, Comal Canyon Lake High School, Columbus High School and Halletsville High School. LHS Swim Team has thirteen swimmers advancing to the regional meet. The top four swimmers in each event qualified for the regional meet. I In Event 1 Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay- Celeine Fabre, Bailey Swisher, Hope Michalke, and Eleanor Carey placed 3rd with a time of 2:20.11. In Event 3 Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Madeline Willrich placed 4th swimming a time of 2:39.33. In Event 4 Boys 200 Yard Freestyle Dalton Landis placed 7th with a time of 2:40.69. In Events 5 Girls 200 Yard IM Quinlyn Landis placed 5th with a time of 3:22,36. In Event 6 Boys 200 IM Gage Mihatsch placed 4th with a time of 2:49.41. In event 7 Girls 50 Yard Freestyle Eleanor Cary placed 7th with a time of 29.50, Bailey Swisher placed 9th with a time of 30.95 and Kynzee Swafford placed 13th with a time of 36.40. In event 8 Boys 50 Freestyle Benjamin Swisher placed 2nd with a time of 23.73. Chandler Fabre placed 7th swimming a 28.42 and Oliver Gunn placed 11th with a time of 29.71. In Event 11 Girls 100 Yard Butterfly Elena Supak placed 2nd with a time of 1:27.13 and Hope Michalke placed 4th with a time of 1:32.11. In the Girls 100 Freestyle Celeine Fabre placed 4th with a time of 1:05.70. In Event 14 Boys 100 Yard Freestyle Benjamin Swisher placed 3rd with a time of 57.28 and Gavin Cool placed 6th with a time of 1:02.50. In Event 15 Girls 500 Freestyle Laney Herdler placed 5th with a time of 7:45.50. In event 16 Boys 500 Freestyle John Kasper placed 5th with a time of 7:23.25. In event 17 Girls 200 Yard Freestyle- Celeine Fabre, Madeline Willrich, Bailey Swisher, and Eleanor Carey placed 4th with a time of 2:02.55. In Event 18 Boys 200 Freestyle-John Kasper, Gage Mihatsch, Gavin Cook, and Benjamin Swisher placed 3rd swimming a time of 1:51.68. In Event 19 Girls 100 Backstroke Laney Herdler placed 5th with a time of 1:30.93 and Hope Michalke placed 8th with a time of 1:42.88. In Event 20 Boys 100 Yard Backstroke Chandler Fabre placed 4th with a time of 1:21.82 and Oliver Gunn placed 5th with a time of 1:23.48. In Event 21 Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke Elena Supak placed 6th with a time of 1:34.16. Bialey Swisher placed 7th with a time of 1:35.08 and Quinlyn Landis placed 11th swimming a time of 1:42.04. In Event 22 Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke Dalton Landis placed 4th with a time of 1:22.87. In Event 23 Girls 400 Yard Freestyle Relay – Eleanor Carey, Madeline Willrich, Elena Supak, and Celeine Fabre placed 4th with a time of 4:44.73 . In Event 24 Boys 400 Yard Freestyle Relay- John Kasper, Gage Mihatsch, Dalton Landis, and Gavin Cook placed 2nd with a time of 4:39.09.
